The Department of Spanish language organized a Cultural Activity: Exploring Mexico and Its Contemporary Social Challenges on Wednesday 12th November 2025. The program started with a presentation about Mexico and its social issues, followed by the screening of a Mexican movie titled “Radical”. The students were engaged in relevant activities after the screening of the movie. This activity allowed the students to understand Mexican social reality beyond stereotypes and reinforce universal values: education, empathy, leadership, and hope in the students. Portuguese Language Day was celebrated on Tuesday 5th May 2026 at NUML with the collaboration of the Department of Spanish Language and the Embassy of Portugal. The Ambassador of Portugal H.E. Paulo Domingues graced the occasion and talked about Portuguese language, culture, Pakistan-Portugal relationships, and the community of Portuguese speaking countries. Students of Spanish, French, Italian and Russian language got on opportunity to interact with H.E. who answered their questions during an engaging question answer session.
